Special Birthday and Christmas Activities:

Sunday Worship Services.  In the Sundays prior to Christmas , our Worship Services at 10:00 a.m. will celebrate Advent and the Birth of Jesus. 

Christmas Party.  2010, 5:00 p.m., at the Desert Diamond Casino. 


Candle-Lighting Service.  Christmas Eve,   7:00 p.m. Guests will join Rev. Guerette at our Unity Church for a beautiful joint Candlelight Service.  Special readings and music will be provided.

 

As we proceed into the New Year:

Burning Bowl Service.   During this special prayer and meditation service, people in attendance are invited to write a "Letter to God," releasing the past and noting what we want to see in our life in the coming year.  We then place this in the bowl.  The papers will be set on fire and turned to ash, as the smoke and the messages go to God and your problems and concerns evaporate.  We had a very inspirational service this past year as part of the Sunday Worship Service, and many in attendance burned away their problems and limitations.  This year, the Burning Bowl Service will be an entire service unto itself.

• Jesus was a Rabbi of great vision. Hope for humankind is born of the vision of Jesus

brought to world…the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand…right here and now. As we begin

to live from that understanding, we create a new world of peace and abundance. Our

hope is born…not of the past. For the past is not always a good indicator of the future.

Hope is born of the Christ within us… The Divinity within.


STATEMENT OF TRUTH… “MY LIFE IS FILLED WITH ABUNDANCE. I AM SO BLESSED.



LEADER: We now light the candle of POWER, the second gift of the Christ. (Red)


• That energy which powers the planets and stars…moves in our lives and is available to

us. The Christ within us is the refinement of that power attuned to humankind. This is

the Power to make our lives successful…to renew our health…the power to bless us with

all manner of good things. Allow my words to be your own and know… I am in authority

in my world. I alone decide what I shall think…and what I persistently…consistently think

determines what I experience. I can allow my thinking to be influenced from the outside,

but in the final analysis…the ruling decision as to what stays in my mind and what goes…

rests with me. I accept the GIFT OF POWER.


STATEMENT OF TRUTH… I ACCEPT THE GIFT OF POWER… I AM A BEING OF

POWER…HERE TO BLESS THE WORLD.



LEADER: WE NOW LIGHT THE CANDLE OF JOY. (Gold)


• JOY IS THE EMOTION EVOKED BY WELL-BEING…SUCCESS…OR GOOD

FORTUNE OR BY THE PROSPECT OF POSSESSING WHAT ONE DESIRES.

• IT IS DELIGHT.

• OUR AWARENESS OF GOD’S PRESENCE IN OUR LIVES IS THE REASON FOR

THE GREAT JOY OF LIFE.

• THIS IS JOY BEYOND THE TRANSITORY “FEELING GOOD” AT SOME SUCCESS

OR GOAL ACHIEVED…IT IS A STEADY UPLIFTED CONTENTMENT WE FEEL THAT

IS ENGENDERED BY THE CONSTANT AWARENESS OF GOD IN OUR LIVES. IT IS

AN UPLIFTED CONSISTENCY OF HAPPINESS FOSTERED BY AN AWARENESS OF

THE CHRIST WE COME TO SEE…

• IN A QUIET MOMENT WHEN WE ARE AT PEACE AND THE WORLD IS

WONDERFUL…AND OUR MIND IS QUIET ENOUGH TO ENJOY IT THAT IS THE

CHRIST BEING BORN IN US.

• WHEN WE HEAR THAT STILL SMALL VOICE SHOWING US THE WAY…THAT IS

THE CHRIST WITHIN US BEING BORN.

• WHEN WE CAN NOT IMAGINE HOW WE’RE GOING TO POSSIBLY MEET A

CHALLENGE…YET WE HAVE FAITH THAT WE WILL…AND WE DO…RECALLING

GOD WORKING IN OUR LIVES…THE CHRIST IN US GROWING.

• WHEN WE OPEN UP TO A NEW IDEA THAT TURNS US ON…AND EXPANDS OUR

MIND…THE CHRIST IS AT WORK AND WE ARE IN TH CHRIST JOY…THE CHRIST

BEING BORN IN US.

• WHEN WE GET TO THE FINISH LINE AND WE KNOW WE’VE OVERCOME A

GREAT CHALLENGE…THE CHRIST IN US…IS RISING.

• The birth of the Christ within us brings us God’s goodwill toward men…the gift of peace.

• With the dawn of new hope in our lives…we can be at peace now.

• With the Power of God flowing thought our beings…we can lay aside all fear.

  1. •With the coming of Joy in our lives through the presence of God… we can rest quietly.


STATEMENT OF TRUTH: THE CHRIST CONSCIOUSNESS IS BORN IN ME THIS DAY. I AM

AT PEACE.



LEADER: We now light the 5th candle…representing the Gift of Divine Guidance. (Purple)


• IT IS SUCH A COMFORT…SUCH A GREAT REASSURANCE IN AN UNCERTAIN

WORLD…TO KNOW THAT WE CAN TRUST…TOTALLY…IN THE UNFAILING

WISDOM OF THE CHRIST WITHIN.

• THE HOLY SPIRIT PROMISED TO US BY JESUS BEFORE HE LEFT THIS REALM…

THAT STILL SMALL VOICE THAT SPEAKS TO US…IS SUCH A FOUNT OF DIVINE

GUIDANCE…SUCH A GREAT GIFT OF THE CHRIST.

• AS WE LEARN TO SET ASIDE THE MENTAL CHATTER OF OVERLY BUSY MINDS

AND SIT APART FROM THE BUSINESS OF THE OUTSIDE WORLD….WE LEARN TO

OPEN UP AND RECEIVE DIVINE GUIDANCE.

LEADER: WE NOW LIGHT THE 6TH CANDLE, THE CANDLE OF LOVE. (PINK)


• Have you ever seen a mother who has newly delivered a child?

• Have you been a mother who has newly delivered a child?

• Then you know the love flooding through Mary’s heart as she held the infant Jesus.

• And we have some inkling of the Love of God for us…as we hold these gifts of the Christ

in our uncertain grasp.

• As a toddler discovers the world about him…we discover the world of Spirit.

• As Mary and Joseph watched their child with loving care…so are we tenderly and lovingly

watched by the Divine Father Mother with us.

• Friends…know that the lifeblood coursing through our veins and arteries is an expression

of God’s love…that the ever present activity of energy within our cells is the flow of God’s

love for us…that the very force of Nature that holds the stars and planets in their places

and provides for harmony in the Natural world…is an expression of God’s infinitely total

love for us.

• And know that in our most challenging times…we can always lean our head on the

bosom of the Divine Mother and rest in her tender…her comforting…her loving embrace.


STATEMENT OF TRUTH: I AM SO LOVABLE…I AM FLOATING IN A SEA OF DIVINE LOVE.



LEADER: WE NOW LIGHT THE 7TH CANDLE FOR THE GIFT OF ALL POSSIBILITIES. (White)


• The Christ Presence blesses us with the realization that we are possibility thinkers.

• As the Angel Gabriel told Mary… “With God… all things are possible.”

• The last Great Gift that the Christ brings to you this year is a mystery.

• It’s the mystery Gift…it is the Spiritual that you will need this year for your Spiritual

unfoldment.

• Whatever your particular challenges this year…the Christ has a Great Gift for you to work

your way through them.

• To get the most out of your challenges both spiritually and physically.

• This Gift for you may be teachability…understanding…imagination…harmony…vision…

faith…Divine Order and Organization…discernment…or the ability to eliminate from your

consciousness…the unwanted and unnecessary.

• And one great feature of this final Gift of the Christ…is that you can receive as many of

these qualities and powers as you can accept!


STATEMENT OF TRUTH: I OPEN MYSELF TO THE MYSTICAL POWER OF THE HEAVENS.

MY LIFE IS MYSTICAL AND MIRACLES HAPPEN IN MY LIFE.
