"Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord."  - David  (Psalm 68:32)

"Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord."  - David  (Psalm 68:32)

Choir.  Our Choir consists of a number of vocalists of mixed voices (women and men) who regularly sing church hymns and special songs in four-part harmony.  The Choir sings at each Sunday Worship Service and at a number of special events.  The most recent special event was the Interfaith Choral Concert of February 2008.  Our Choir received considerable praise by choir directors and others for our singing at the Interfaith concerts of 2007 and 2008.

Members of our Choir frequently perform as vocal soloists or in vocal duets or trios.  Some also play piano, organ, trumpet, and other musical instruments.  Some compose and/or arrange music sung by our Choir or soloists.

"O come, let us sing unto the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation."  - David  (Psalm 95:1)

Choir Rehearsals are held every WEDNESDAY from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in our Church, 17630 S. Camino de las Quintas, Sahuarita, AZ  85629.  The Choir is now on a summer recess.  They will return in late September 2008.

"Sing unto the Lord, all the earth"  - David  (Psalm 96:1)  and  (I Chronicles 16:23)

Our choir is seeking additional members, especially right now, as we need to replace members who have left our choir We welcome anyone who likes to sing and can read sheet music.  We are looking for anyone who can sing four-part harmony:  soprano, alto, tenor, or bass.  We need new voices in all ranges at this time, particularly tenors and basses.  NOTE:  Some women can sing tenor better than they can alto.  We can use them in the tenor section.  See Mary Lou or Carmen Catania, Rev. Maurice Guerette, or Charles McClellan after our Sunday Worship Service, or come to our weekly Choir Rehearsal (suspended for the summer, 2008)

"Sing unto Him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise."  - David  (Psalm 33:3)

Musical Instruments.  We are also interested in anyone who plays a musical instrument, and who can furnish his or her own instrument (other than organ or piano) for rehearsals, services, and special performances.  See Rev. Guerette or Mary Lou Catania.

Our musicians and our Choir continue looking forward to serving our Unity in the Valley and our Congregation, 17630 S. Camino de las Quintas, Sahuarita, AZ  85629.

"Serve the Lord with gladness:  come before His presence with singing."  - David  (Psalm 100:2)

If anyone has any other pictures of our Choir or other musicians in electronic format, please contact Rev. Guerette, Sally Nelson, or Charles B. Pyke.

"Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto him with psalms."  - David   (Psalm 95:2)

NOTE:  The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language defines psalm as "a sacred song or hymn."

"Praise ye the Lord.  Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet.  Praise Him with the psaltery and harp.

Praise Him with the timbrel and dance.  Praise Him with stringed instruments and organs.

Praise Him upon the Loud cymbals . . . Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord."

- David  (Psalm 150:1 and 3-6)
