Evening Meditation, by Elizabeth Searle Lamb: Darkness is creeping over the silent hills, and the tranquil moon and twinkling stars fill the heavens. Bird whisperings are the only sounds. As stillness settles upon me, I look back upon the day. Beauty was here today to lift my heart. Love was here today to warm my soul. Joy led me swiftly on my way, and the Christ in me pointed out the path when I was suddenly confused. This was a good day, a day of achievement, a day in which inner fears were dissolved, a day of a new and greater love radiated from God through me and from me to those I met. Now, silently, I turn toward God and feel the very dear presence of God. I offer this, my day, as my own gift, and ask God's care throughout the night for myself and for those I love. With the spirit of God in my heart, I drift on clouds of sleep and, drifting, dream sweet dreams of peace. (reprinted from Unity in Green Valley Bulletin, May 29, 2005)

Meditation by Charles B. Pyke, Unity Church of Green Valley. I relax, as I turn my attention away from all of the clutter and clatter of the world around me. I turn inward to that Still Small Voice within me that is God. I take a deep breath . . . pause . . . then slowly release it . . . knowing that it is the Breath of God. I am one with God. I always have been . . . and always will be . . . one with God. I know that better than I know my own name. I turn to God, knowing that His Divine Perfect Health, Strength, and Vigor flow through me at all times. I am never sick, weak, or discouraged. I have perfect circulation throughout my entire body every moment of every day and night. I live my life with enthusiastic vitality. I know that I always have the strength and energy to carry out whatever I wish to do in my life. Since everyone on this Earth is also one with God, I know that my interactions with everyone whom I encounter – including all relatives, friends, business colleagues, and strangers – are always Divinely Perfect. There can be nothing but perfect harmony among people who are each one with God. I get along beautifully with everyone at all times, and all of my relationships are happy and productive. As one with The Great Creator, I am one with inspiration, wisdom, and creative energy beyond my highest imagination. In both my business and my every day life, I am more creative and productive than I ever dreamed was possible. I remember that Nothing is Impossible with God. Since God is the Source and Substance of my Supply, I know that God is constantly providing everything for me that I need and desire. I am always very well supplied with the goods, substances, and services that I need to run my life and to bring me the pleasures that I desire. I know that I am Divinely Protected at all times. God is never harmed or in danger of anything. Since I am one with God, I too am protected and secure at all times and in everything that I do. I give thanks for my relationship with God and for all of the blessings that He has bestowed – and continues to bestow – upon me. Thank you, God, for my perfect health, relationships, creativity, prosperity, and protection. I take another deep breath . . . ponder the wonders of my relationship with God . . . then slowly release my breath, as I return to the world around me, with eyes wide open, full of vigor and enthusiastic vitality, and ready to conduct my life with an entirely new approach to everyone and everything in my experience. And so it is. Amen.
